Sold an amp for measly $35 dollars, due to heatware I shipped first about 3 weeks ago and finally received my money 9/7/05

Spencer had told me that he would pay me 3 to 4 times in a period of 3 weeks or so. Problem was that he bought in advance to having all the money he needed to pay off all the auctions he bid on. I requested money through email with help of trollhunters, and was paid immediately today (9/7/05) Overall I gave Spencer quite a bit of slack, and began to worry after weeks and close to a week of not hearing from him at all. I was then told by him to take a chill pill several times over just because it was $35. But I guess he did not realize that 35 bucks or not, not paying for an item is fraud, and that's what I was worried about.

I sold sp80 a Polaroid Digital Camera @ Anandtech. Due to his extensive heatware, I shipped first.

The camera arrived quickly but I did not receive payment until about 6 weeks later after many unfulfilled promises. I am not the only trader he did this with within the months of July and August 2005 which is very discouraging. More detailed information can be found at the following forum thread:

Spencer was a nice guy and responded quickly, but unfortunately because of circumstances out of his control he delayed paying for 2 and 1/2 weeks after the item was shipped (reason for the neg feedback). I would probably sell to him again, but he'd be paying first.

Shipped the drive on 7/11/05. Wasn't paid until 09/07/05. Turns out sp80 owed 3 other people money on items that were shipped first. If you deal with sp80, DON'T SHIP FIRST.

Seller failed to ship in an appropriate amount of time due to car troubles. I am giving him a positive eval because upon shipping, he upgraded the shipping method (eating the cost of doing so) and the items arrived well packaged very quickly thereafter. Normally I would have given a neutral, but sp80 showed he was sorry for a mistake and did what little he could possibly do to make amends. Communication was a little slow on his part, but I assume it was mostly from feeling bad about the delay.
