  • Sold me Mission Impossible DVD. Never got it!!!

skippysg was the Buyer on April 10, 2002 AnandTech

Horrible experience!!! This guy used to be an awesome trader but he has turned sour to the max. He cut off all communication and was dealing with people emailing him through his roomate. He left no explanation like a family problem or anything on why nothing has been shipped. I tried to claim this to paypal but since I am patient, I waited over 30 days for this DVD and paypal won\'t do anything about it. I am warning you, if you ever come across him trading againg, he must ship first. He has totally ruined his super positive reputation. I am not the only one who he screwed over, there was an entire computer and many other DVD\'s that people did not recieve. There is no way to contact this fool as he just ignores everything. JoeDaddy is now a troll!!! No I didn\'t mix him up with someone else. Please, please, please don\'t buy anything from him!!!

  • Sold me a 3 com shark cable modem.

skippysg was the Buyer on March 9, 2004 AnandTech

Modem took 21 days to reach me. First time he shipped, he put the wrong address on it and he explained that and I understand we are all human and mistakes can happen. I said cool, drop it back in the mail. Well I finally received the modem after he reshipped it. According to the shipping record, it took 2 days to reach me (we are both in Illinois) and he dragged this on and on. I opened the box (a usps prioriety box 12\" x 12\" x 8\") to find a cable modem and a power adapter. There was not an ounce of shipping material in the box which is totally unacceptable. I jump his case right away and ask what is up with no packaging, etc. He goes on saying he knows how to pack stuff, etc. He said his friend dropped it off for shipping. Alright, thats cool but evidently he did not teach his friend who must not have any common sense how to package an item for shipping. \"But on rare occasions mishaps do occur.\" I\'d call this a mishap for sure. If he does not have time to properly participate in selling items on the forum, he should wait to do so until his life is not so hectic. Just everyone be careful and make sure he personally ships the item himself and not one of his \"friends\".

    Response from ctcsoft
was not given the chance to make the deal right. Mr. Jeff jumped my a$$ right away. I was fully prepared to offer a complete refund if the modem didn\'t work due to the poor packaging from my friend shipping. I just relocated from FL but I have no trading problems. Jeff here is just a little nit picky and not even willing to give the seller a chance to correct things. I think he likes to push people around personally with his BIG heat recorded. He defintely doesn\'t have to worry about trading with me EVER again. Enjoy your cable modem Jeff!.

  • Sold me a used socket A motherbaord.

skippysg was the Buyer on July 21, 2004 AnandTech

Reason of the neutral rating is that the item was not packaged correctly. He slapped the motherboard in a bubble bag and set it diagonally in a box with no packaging materials. I had no problems with the trader himself but he will stop and think before packaging another item.

  • Sold me a HP omnibook 500 laptop.

skippysg was the Buyer on May 24, 2002 AnandTech

I am giving the neutral because of what he sold me and not how he treated everything. He originally bought the laptop and did not spend any time messing with it and resold it advertised as he purchased it. It was advertised incorrectly and many of the drivers, etc. were non existent so some parts of the laptop did not work due to this. Matt responded right away and immediately agreed to refund all of my money and a little extra. I received the money refund in a timely fashion and then shipped the laptop out to another buyer who had contacted me about the laptop. I received compensation for shipping the laptop to the new buyer also. Matt also knows how to package I hope after I chewed him out about shipping the laptop. I explained what he should have done. Overall I believe Matt is a good trader at heart and he is just having a rough start in trading. He has learned his lessons and I would purchase again from him in the future.
