  • uv reactive cables

nutxo was the Buyer on July 12, 2003 AnandTech

First they buyer contacted me about some cables I had for sale in a thread that was a few months old. I told him repeatedly that they were
sold but I finally gave in and told him I would sell him the set out of my case. We agreed on a price of 20 shipped.
About half an hour later he comes back and says he only has 16, I say no and then he comes up with the full 20. :-/

The next day he send me an ICQ message and some links and says thay if they were the cables pictured then he was going to want a partial
refund. I really couldnt see what the difference between the 3 links was. I told him so and he starts spamming my icq, tellin me im unprofessional for someone with so much heat and all kinds of crap because I was rebooting while he was trying to talk. I got the disticnt
impression he was threatening my reputation. I told him that if he thought there was gonna be a problem Ill just give him a refund. He
says he doesnt wanna refund and to send him a tracking number yadda yadda. It was all extremely unpleasant.

I tossed the cables and the matching psu mod (god knows why) in a box and sent the stuff off and sent him his tracking info at anands and
told him again If he isnt happy let me know and Ill refund his paypal.

Last night he sent me a tell says all good, leave heat.
I debated long and hard before I decided to post. I was gonna leave positive and be done with it but after contemplating I decided not to.

    Response from Justin Time
At first i was trying to decide to contact him about the old thread. I asked him ONCE if he had them and he said he sold those, but he said because he needs money, if i recall correctly for his DAOC account, he MAY take the ones out of this current computer and sell them to me. I never kept on pursing about the cables. I asked a few hours later if he decided because i was about to place an order at SVC.

We then agree on a price. I decided to add a fan grill on my SVC order so was about 4 dollars short in my PayPal. Instead of asking a friend to borrow a few dollars at first, I thought it would be worth a shot to ask him if 16 was okay.

The next day I did ask him to VERIFY which ones he sent me. I NEVER asked for a refund or even a partial refund. The whole time (About a 20 minute conversation over ICQ) he kept on saying that I wanted a refund. I kept on stating all i wanted was verification. Once again, I NEVER asked for a refund throughout the conversation. I never "spammed" his ICQ, I was typing to him as anyone would in a conversation over ICQ. I was never trying to give him a hard time or anything to that extent, all i wanted was a verification. I did not know he was rebooting at the time because he never said something like, "Have to reboot be back in a bit." I figured he was ignoring him because he though i was "giving him a hard time", i then state his lack of communication is not professional.

He then says if there was a problem he would send me a refund. So I say "Whenever you send it out give me a trackin number". He then says "You paid for shipping not a tracking number." It seemed like he was being rude, so i go on and leave it be, so the argument doesnt get worse.

I was very thankful that he sent me the PSU Mod, and the fact he says if i am not happy he will give me a refund.

Maybe a neutral was deserved due to the inconvience this deal has caused, but this is my response to his "ruling" of our deal.
