  • Selling AMD Winchester 3500+ CPU

JRE was the Buyer on January 26, 2006 Other/Unknown

I sold the CPU to Nathan in working order and shipped it via overnight delivery. Nathan communicated that:
\"The package didn\'t appear damaged to me, but if something like a box fell flat on it I wouldn\'t expect it to look damaged. It looked like it was working at first, went to BIOS screen, but when the BIOS was verifing something, don\'t remember what exactly, but I can find out if you want me to, it just stopped there. I restarted it and it never came up again. I switched it with a known working processor and it booted up just fine.\"

Since I guaranteed it would not be DOA I refunded his money and he sent the processor back to me. I am leaving neutral feedback as it appeared to be working by his description but died in his machine and there is no way to know if the chip died \"naturally\" or incorrect setting killed it. Nathan was very up front with me and we had good open communication about it so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I don\'t feel his actions were malicious and again he was very honest about the whole deal. Therefore I am leaving neutral feedback. I don\'t think this is a major cause of concern for future sellers/buyers.
