I purchased three items from him over time but the last transaction has proven that his gift cards are not legitimate. I purchased a $300 USD Morton\'s gift card from him in November 2006. He provided me with the gift card number prior to the transaction which I checked online and with Morton\'s call centre. I also checked the gift card balance at the time of the transaction and everything seemed fine. When the card was presented to Morton\'s a couple weeks ago, it was refused saying the balance was nil. A search of the transactions was made and the balance was removed by Morton\'s on Feb-14-07. I called Morton\'s head office in Chicago and they said that the credit card owner who made the gift card purchase, called his credit card company to say that the $300 USD charge on his credit card statement was not his. The credit card company reversed the charge and eventually told Morton\'s that they wouldn\'t be paid for the gift card purchase. Obviously Morton\'s did a search and cancelled the gift card when they realized that the $300 balance had not been used. I\'ve e-mailed Dan aka mrcwazie a number of times asking for an explanation as well as my money back. I\'ve also conducted and investigation of Dan and now have his cell phone number and address. Morton\'s has been contacted again so I can get more contact information from him. I doubt they\'ll release it to me due to privacy legislation but they will release to authorities. I have contacted the FBI and RCMP online fraud investigation units and I am contacting legal counsel to have papers served as I have his partial address. Be warned.
