Review for user jrw21 from WhiteWashed104

  • Seller sold me a Complete Socket 939 system. His poor packing job was undone by the USPS, and the item was literally in pieces when I got it. See below.

WhiteWashed104 was the Seller on November 20, 2008 HardForum

I bought the item from the seller for $150. This included shipping charges. Seller took 48 hours to ship, not too big a deal.

I wasn?ÇÖt home when the item was delivered, so when I got a chance to open the box, I saw the box was half way destroyed, and there were peanuts on the outside of the box. I also noticed that this $150 computer was NOT SHIPPED WITH INSURANCE!

Opening the box revealed a computer literally in pieces. There were NO SOLID MATERIALS inside the box to protect the computer from any shock. Only packing peanuts, and some sort-of thick paper on the ?Ç£bottom?Ç¥ of the box (the bottom as actually ripped open, not the top).

The front cover of the case was ripped off. The CD ROM and floppy drives were dismantled inside the case. The Graphics card was hanging bent out of its slot. There was about 50-100 packing peanuts INSIDE the case, which most likely caused static electricity damage. Pictures of his packing job can be seen here:

Efforts to get in touch with the seller have proved useless. I Private Messaged him numerous times, and he refuses to answer. I talked to the moderators of the board, and he has answered them. The seller refuses to give me the money back, despite the pictures I provided him. Paypal will not help me because this item is apparently ?Ç£not as described?Ç¥.

Basically, this guy sent a computer with the WORST packing job I?ÇÖve seen in my life. I received it, ruined, because he did not care. Any attempts to contact him are not working, and he refuses to give me a refund over his poor packing job. He CANNOT communicate properly, and has turned into a wimp by avoiding me altogether as a ?Ç£Solution?Ç¥ to the problem.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY! HE IS BORDER-LINE FRAUD!

    Response from jrw21
    These are false claims.

The item was properly packaged. I have sent NUMEROUS items out via usps, I know how to pack an item for safe shipping.

The solid materials I placed in the box for structure for the pc must have fallen out of the box when/after usps destroyed it as the buyer claims.

I communicated with the buyer and would have continued to work out a solution for this situation but instead he decided to send me foul and offensive messages and create a Troll thread on hardforums EXACTLY 7 minutes after my first response to him after I received his claim of usps damaging the box.

At this point is when I ended communication with the buyer. I do NOT need to hear nor do I deserve to read that kind of lanquage from anyone. At this point I only responded to paypal and moderators at Hardforums to resolve the issue.

Accidents happen this child needs to learn to to be more patient and wait longer than 7 minutes to try and work something out. The way he dealt with this issue was beyond childish. Offensive messages, threats, and troll threads are not the way to get positive results out of a situation. I have 58 POSITIVE transactions, I would have worked something out with this person if he had NOT acted the way he had. But, since he treated me the way he did I let paypal and the moderators at [H] handle the situation.

His claim from paypal was DISMISSED and his thread at hardforums was DISMISSED and DELETED from the servers.
