Thomas Hollingsworth (Rache) posted a thread for a "brand new and is still sealed in its static bag" drive. (That is an exact quote from his thread.)I contacted him and got a response back that it was still available. I sent him the PayPal the same day, and then never heard from him again, until I brought the issue up in another "for sale" thread of his a while later, asking why he never sent the drive, or sent an email, or anything.
He replied (by PM), that he "honestly forgot about it." I asked if he would ship it the following Monday, (by FedEx), and he agreed. A few days later, he sends me another PM, stating,
"Michael,
I was boxing up your drive, about to send it out, and I noticed some scratches near the screw holes that should not be there on a new drive. I took it out of the static bag, and there are some small scratches on both sides. The front is in perfect condition, but it looks like it's been used."

At this point, I saw classic signs of something fishy, so I demand a refund ASAP. Another day goes by without any response from him. (Although I know he has been logged in). So I ask again in a Private Message: "I am just wondering what the hold-up is with my refund. Please respond asap. Thanks...."

I finally get the PayPal refund from him, but of course I am left paying the PayPal transaction fees.

The final icing on the cake is that he left negative feedback for ME after this transaction! I wish I had never entered into a deal with this dishonest person, as it has marked the otherwise excellent experience that I have had with trading online.

I would like to take this opportunity to warn people that Thomas Hollingsworth might "forget" about the transaction right after you send him your PayPal.

I paid Thomas on December 27th and he's repeatedly lied to me about sending the cables. He even sent me a false tracking number. He's playing a lot of people along by promising to deliver goods that were paid for, but after 2 months I can only conclude he's just a cheat and liar.

DO NOT TRUST HIM! I paid him on Jan 1 and I received my cables on February 16. Throughout this ordeal, he lied to me several times and made excuses for not shipping. After contacting the troll hunters, I was able to get this resolved. Although I did receive my cables in the end, I would never ever trust this guy again. And everyone else shouldn't either

Horrible to deal with, months have gone by without recieving my cables. I am still waiting without any contact from him, he is a troll from my stand point and I have nothing good to say about him at all.

Rache posted an AOpen AX6B for sale and I offered him $45 for it, to which he agreed.

I paypaled him the money and was told the board would ship the next day. It has been 15 days, and I have not recieved the board, nor has rache answered my email or PM. He has also been banned on the anandtech forums because of the large number of deals he had go wrong. Essentially this man stole $45 from me. Do not do business with this thief.

I'd had a problem with Thomas not shipping before, but it was a cable & he mentioned he thought I wanted a different one. Well - this is a neutral eval cuz I finally got my P3. It was mailed on Valentine's day even though he gave me a "fake" DC # on Jan. 27th. Only reason this is a neutral is cuz the P3 showed up. I had all but given up on seeing anything. I would make sure you receive anything before sending $$ to Thomas until he's cleared everything up.

Bought some RJ45 snagless boots

I bought 12 rubber snagless boots for CAT5 cable. After weeks of excuses, nothing happened. I only paid $3, so I pretty much wrote it off as a loss. Much to my suprise, a month or two *after* they were supposed to ship, they show up! He shipped it priority, and sent double the amount I originally requested, hence the neutral instead of negative rating.

Sent Thomas my Athlon 1.4 to have him test it.

Since Tom only had 2 evals I asked him if we minded shipping first. He had no problem doing this and shipped a couple days later. The box arrived very well packed and the NIC was "as advertised" like new in box. Communication was great and I PayPal'ed him on delivery. Very happy with the deal and wouldn't hesitate to deal with Tom again. Thanks :)

He shipped them out twice and I didn't get them. I think his locale P.O was having problems with all this stuff going on. So he decided to ship a set one more time VIA UPS and I got them np. He even gave them to me free since I had been waiting on them for over 2 weeks. He is great to deal with would deal with again anytime and wouldn't think twice. A+++

It was around the Holidays and we ran into a few snags, but overall it turned out to be a good deal. He refunded my money and sent the cable anyway. This just goes to show that not every problem has to make a deal go bad. I have since ordered another cable from him.

Bought Cat 5E from Rache. The transaction had drama but all ended well. Rache handled a very ugly situation very well. I think his troubles were the work of the USPS not him and nobody should hold him responsible for that postal fiasco.
