  • 1 Xerox XE90FX WORKCENTRE + 1 Toner + 1 Drum + 1 extra free toner + 1 plug

fuji_man was the Buyer on November 4, 2007 RedFlagDeals

Here is what he sent me...and my reply...there is more to say...but it\'s not worth wasting my time...terrible communication!

    Forum: RedflagDeals.com
    Description:
Xerox All-in-one Laserjet with Autofeeder (End Of Life) - parallel port only & 20GB Maxtor Hard Drive @ total of $70
    Comments:
Seller promise a fully working printer and retracted it by saying he have never used or tested the autofeeder nor tested any photo printing with the system when those 2 function have issues arises.

If seller never tested or used the whole system don\'t promise the system is fully working, instead just tell the buyer some part of the system was never used.

Buyer ended up have to self repair the autofeeder at cost of $25 + new toner and drums (Over $100) to test the streaking in photo printing (which BTW cannot be fixed) and requested only $12 from the seller to recover the cost. The seller refuse to even paid that and said only accept a return.

Seller also said they have done a favorite by reduce the price for over $60 for buyer, but forgot to mention that the $55 reduction is not for the buyer but instead is a reduction to even attract any buyer (Since the system have been on the market for a while).

There is no way I accept returned the system and accept a waste of my time, gas, toner, drum and the extra parts to buy a piece of crap you promise it was working in the first place.

If this is a D.O.A. problem then ok I will accept return, but this is a problem of seller totally misinforming a buyer and that is bad practice.
    Reply:
Correction: Sale included 1 additional untested low toner (given for free and was not part of the deal) + 1 computer style plug.

Correction: Initial compensation asked for was EXACTLY $12.50 not 12.00 (He doesn\'t include the 50 cents to show you, the audience, attempting to be a good person)

Side Note (Machine was never designed for Photo Printing...as the buyer claims)

I, the seller, did not make a transaction with this fellow. Rather, I made a transaction with his friend, some rich asian dude.

NOTICE: The friend picked up the machine on a rainy day! (water + electronics = good one buddy)

Note: Fuji_man claims to be a business man (however his lack of communication plays a big role here. If he had check the product upon recieving it. He should have contacted me with the problem. He should have not tried to find a solution himself. Him looking for a solution only justifies that he got it at a good deal and didn\'t want to return it for a full refund.

Aside: A buyer should test before you buy something to guarantee when, where, how, who, what, etc...that\'s my problem i should have shown him it works perfectly fine as i told him even though i never used the autofeeder...to guarantee myself

Aside: Toner sold along with product was very low and the buyer was aware of this.

Fuji_Man PM\'s me on Oct 22, many days after the deal had gone through with his friend, stating two problems. 1) photo printing has a streak mark. 2)\"autofeeder don\'t detect papers\"

I reply back to him to help out

Nov 3rd, (12 days after his PM and over 2 weeks since transaction) fuji_man contacts me, stating he bought a new toner and drum \"and still has a streak mark\"

He he tells me about some plan he wants to do and that I have to contribute 2/3rds of the expenses by paypal or EMT. Doesn\'t this sound like a scam? too fishy? So i asked for it back...then he tells me he already paid for everything and did the \"fixing\"...

suddenly he becomes my financial advisor telling me how to pay him back (Fuji_man says: How about this.. give me a list of all the stuff you are selling, and see could I put those $12 towards anything to purchase from you) ...telling me don\'t worry about the drums and toner. (how many drum(s) could you fit in the machine?)

All this for 12? Would $12 really make him richer or poorer when he spent $$$ on toner and drum(s) and bought a damaged xerox xe90fx from craiglist for $25...flashers start going through my head...

Folks don\'t listen to 1 side of the story...

Buyer asked for a guarantee priot to purchase and I told him I cant give him a guarantee as it is used. I also told him I\'ve never used the autofeeder. I told him I got it second hand and it worked perfect for me to print my academic projects ands fax through the flatbed. I apologized for any inconvienience and offered a refund but AFTER I asked for it back he told he repaired it...

Reduction in price doesn\'t take a rocket scientist to figure out...The machine was first posted for sale on a thread on the date of Feb 14th, 2006, 11:49 PM (Today\'s date is November 5, 2007) The price not only needed to be asjusted as it was sold 9 months after posted but because I seriously needed the money (broke from paying OSAP in full - 1 shot)to pay for a speeding ticket.

ALERT: BEWARE OF THIS CHEAP SCAMMER & HIS FRIENDS...

LOL look at this part he includes in one of his messages:

\"The transaction is done with a email transaction showing a promise that it is working even though it is a used machine. Same as selling a house, if a user purchase a old home in good condition and they when new owner moved in, the walls are cracked then the old owner will still have to repair it.\"

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Response from fuji_man
This Evaluation from Benny is a joke.

    1st
From Benny: \"Initial compensation asked for was EXACTLY $12.50 not 12.00 (He doesn\'t include the 50 cents to show you, the audience, attempting to be a good person)\"
Are you kidding me Benny, what are you, 5yrs old kid counting pennies? 50 Cents big deal... Ok I forgot 50 cents by rounding it down, you happy? Wow I must be now scamming the people by not telling them an extra 50 cents. Like you are going to give me my $12 I am asking for? I didn\'t think so, HA

    2nd
B&W Photo Printing is not photo printing like Film photo. Every LaserJet printer user know that no laser printer print photo quality. \"Photo printing\" on a LaserJet is mean printing Simple low DPI Picture from your PC.

    3rd
From Benny: \"The friend picked up the machine on a rainy day! (water + electronics = good one buddy)\"
First everyone knows even though Water + electronic is not great, however that day is not really raining, it is more like light drip or very light rain.
And second everyone also know light water drip on electronic casing is ok especially when it is not on during the rain as long as you give it enough time to dry first (or else everyone\'s cell phone, PDA or small electronic is long dead), therefore picking the system up on a very light rainy day is a non-issue, especially I give me 5 days to dry up before I try to test it.

    4th
Benny: \"I also told him I\'ve never used the auto feeder. I told him I got it second hand and it worked perfect for me to print my academic projects and fax through the flatbed.\", \"I reply back to him to help out\"
You told me it is 100% working (See initial contact below), didn\'t mention he never used the auto feeder (As he stated in here) and no mention it was already second hand (As he stated in here) then after I reported the problem to him, he said he have never used the auto feeder (See 4th contact below) and still have not mention it was already second hand (As he is stating in here). And you just told me to search the web for help, and a \"Best of Luck\" (Clearly show he have no interest to help, if I were to search the web for help, why would I ask you the seller?) Also, Best of Luck? What the hell is that BOL, what is the different between that and F-off go found someone who cares? Where is the help? You do understand telling me to found help myself is not help!

    5th
Benny: \"BEWARE OF THIS CHEAP SCAMMER & HIS FRIENDS\"
He suggested this is a scam? Ha, how in the heck he expect me to test the system to see if there is truly a problem, like streak mark in photo printing without getting a new drum or toner? How would I know if it is a user error or a machine error if I don\'t switch parts? BTW, all the parts I purchase have receipt and all communication documented from craglist.
Beside what have Benny sold that is not last generation or End Of Life? While I have done completed transaction with all sort of modern technology in Ebay, PN, RFD, and Craglist. You accusing me of Scam, ha, first wait under you could afford your speeding ticket without lowering your price of these EOL Products you selling. What\'s $12.50 is worth for me, not much, however it is what is fair (Do you understand Fair?), but for you I know it is a lot of money!\"

    6th
Benny: \"A buyer should test before you buy something to guarantee when, where, how, who, what, etc...That?ÇÖs my problem I should have shown him it works perfectly fine as I told him even though I never used the auto feeder...to guarantee myself\"
Um.. What with now a day people? What\'s in \"Man of my word\" they don\'t understand? Arrantly Benny just don\'t understand what is \"100% working\" mean (See Quote) and when did you told me you have never used the auto feeder until after I bought the thing, please check your record! What you expect me to do, stay at your house and test every function the manual said is there? Should I do that to test a Hard Drive too?

    7th
Benny: \"I, the seller, did not make a transaction with this fellow. Rather, I made a transaction with his friend, some rich Asian dude.\"
Benny, there is a reason why I didn\'t do the full transaction with you. It is because your profile said Mississauga, but you don\'t do your transaction there and instead a good 30min. away (Driving distance). What is that? If your location is not where you do your transaction, then don\'t use that as your location, dude. My friend is closer, and I have told you my friend is to do the pickup for me, as a matter of fact, he and you arrange the time, not me, but it still took almost 2 weeks. What you never ask your friend to pickup anything for you in your life time or you just don\'t have friends?

    8th
From Benny: \"He he tells me about some plan he wants to do and that I have to contribute 2/3rds of the expenses\"
First, I didn\'t tell you about some plan (Don\'t make stuff up), but I have already did it when I ask for the $12.50 (Please see 5th Contact). This is done because you have done nothing to help me but to ask me to help myself by asking other. I never really give a crap about the $12.50, but as I stated, it is only fair since you are the one misinforming people about your stuff. And since in order for me to fully diagnosis the system I needed parts to swap and probe, that?ÇÖs mean either way I will lose money if I were to return this thing back to you, that is why I don\'t accept the return, instead requested $12.50.

    9th
From Benny: \"telling me don\'t worry about the drums and toner. (how many drum(s) could you fit in the machine?)\"
What how many drums(s) could you fit? I know when you wrote this is about 1am, are you that tired, what are you talking about? What part of I change a brand new toner and drum, but I am not going to worry about them, because I will eventually needed those anyway. (See 5th Contact)

    10th
From Benny: \"Reduction in price doesn\'t take a rocket scientist to figure out...The machine was first posted for sale on a thread on the date of Feb 14th, 2006, 11:49 PM (Today\\\'s date is November 5, 2007) The price not only needed to be adjusted as it was sold 9 months after posted but because I seriously needed the money (broke from paying OSAP in full - 1 shot) to pay for a speeding ticket.\"
I am going to quote your 6th reply \"remember I dropped the price of the machine from 100 to 75 then to 60 ...and the hdd from 35 - all the way to 10 for u...so i did u a small favour\"
You did me a small favour? In this Evaluation you said you have to lower the price because of a speeding ticket and because it is sold 9 months after, so which is it, a small favour or logic of lowering your price because you needed money?

    11th
From Benny: \"I seriously needed the money (broke from paying OSAP in full - 1 shot) to pay for a speeding ticket.\"
Also Quoting on your 6th reply \"its too big for me thats y i sold it\", so again I have to ask you selling because you needed money or because it is too big for you?

    12th
From Benny: \"suddenly he becomes my financial advisor\"
I am not trying to be your financial advisor. I am just trying to save you some trouble figuring out how to found the ?Ç£fair?Ç¥ mark from $25. But if you can\'t afford to pay your speeding ticket off (should be up to a max of $300), maybe I should really be your financial advisor.

    13th
From 7th Contact: \"if a person never uses a auto feeder and that never ever crosses there mind...they unintentionally meant any of this...therefore in the sellers mind he was selling a fully working machine...it is the responsibility of the buyer to ask for specifics if they really care about a specific part.\"
Ha, I will first point your attention to point 6th. Second have you ever hear of a term call \"non-disclosed\" in business world, in a buy & sell situation, it is a term to describe the seller didn\'t disclose something to the buyer, and could be sue for it. As a buyer, there is no way to test for every function of a product until regular use of that product and since you have regularly use the item, 100% working means 100% working, anything that is not working is a misinform. Just like I said \"If a buyer purchase a house, the buyer forgot to check a part of the structure, and the seller didn\'t mention about a damage area in that part (regardless they know or not know). And then when the buyer moved and within the first week the damage inside that part of the house cause the structure to collapse and injure or kill someone, who do you think get in trouble.... It is not the buyer, but it is the seller because a non-disclosed fact which wasn\'t given and could have prevented the whole situation.

    Conclusion
Please note even if you are selling something used, there is something that you have to take care of after the sale. By saying it is working 100% prior to sell and then said I didn\'t use some of the system so I didn\'t know if it work is a complete BS and bad practice. And it is also a misinforming from your part. Didn\'t you heard from the news, even if you didn\'t know or used part of the item that you are selling you are still liable if it malfunction and cost bodily harm or property damage? It is lucky for you this is just a simple malfunction. If there is any property damage, there will be a law sue. I understand that you think I have acted before you know, but how am I going to test it fully without having something to test it with? Beside you have not provided any help until after the fact. This whole thing could be easily avoided if you have told me you have not tested everything out, and I will be on my own, but nope, you have to misinform me that it is 100% working. You having to think this is a scam is even more funny, please wait until you could muscle up some more money in life, before thinking people are trying to scam you, especially a lousy $12.50... LOL

To everyone else, please learn from my experience while dealing with this user, when he tell you something that is working, please remember he could be just tell you it is working and the same while he don\'t really know if it is working or not. LOL
OK I have wasted enough time trying to justify to a comment made by a person who can?ÇÖt even selling some old parts properly. For all you reading, please judge for yourself as I have attached my communication between myself and Benny in Redflagdeal, and see if you believe he have misinformed me and see if you think this whole situation could be avoided if he could have just told me he have not used part of the system.
