15K seagate cheetah (SCSI hard disk drive)

Be vary careful sending any money to c_ramseyer (Christopher Ramseyer, scsigod@hotmail.com). I have sent him money for a 15k cheetah that he previously listed, and still haven?ÇÖt received the drive or any tracking info. I started negotiations with c_ramseyer 7/3/02, and received email from him on 7/9/02 confirming that he had received the check I sent him. On 7/17/02, I received another email from him stating that he would check to see if my check had cleared. My bank shows the check cleared on 7/11/02, yet c_ramseyer has still not responded to any emails since 7/17/02.

he PMed me after a post at 2cpu.com where i was looking for a scsi drive. i decided to buy the seagate from him- the deal was agreed upon on july 11. he said he did not have it, but it was on it's way and he would have it by monday, july 15th at the latest. it would go out to me then and i should have had it at the end of that week (by like july 19th).

my MO arrived with him on the 16th and i emailed to confirm the drive was on its way. he said he didn't have it and would see what the hold up was. finally he received the drive that saturday, july 20th.

monday rolled around and i still had no tracking number for it. i emailed again. he said he would get it out to me monday evening and send me tracking. considering i should have already had the drive i expected 1) that he would get the drive out the day he got it (he received it in the am and fedex is open till 5pm) and 2) i sure as hell expected it to go out monday morning if not saturday.

all week i email asking for the tracking number he never sent monday. finally on friday, july 26th he says it was sent and he gave me the delivery confirmation number from the usps.

thinking it was a tracking number i tried it and it didn't work. since it is a delivery confirmation number it wouldn't show anything till i received the package. in any case, i have not heard from him since that friday. i have emailed from several different accounts, and left phone messages. no response in almost a week now. no drive. no money returned.

this guy trolled me for $185 :(

We made the deal on May 25, 2002, and since I have recieved only one (1) copy of Windows XP. The date of this eval is August 21, 2002. I have sent him numerous emails, made a public post in the FS/FT forum at hardocp, and have recieved recieved 2 to 3 empty "guarantees"

"John, I have 8 of them now and I will have the other one tomorrow. I will have the final tracking # for you then and you will have them a couple of days later." - July 22

"I have the rest of the windows XP's ready to ship, they are going out tonight." - August 15th

I talked to him on the phone before making the deal; but recently haven't been able to contact him.

He has not answered me in weeks.

Troll Supreme. Sold me this drive, now seagate tells me it was reported 'missing in transit' aka STOLLEN!! Never deal with this guy. Nice to talk to when all is well..after he sells you a stollen drive he disappears. Offered me $200 back for the drive I paid $300 for to cover his ass and wouldn't pay me back what he basically stole from me.

Kinda hate to do this, but I feel not happy by this whole deal.

I put up a post on Ars looking for a E. Guitar. Chris responded to me and said he had one. I offered a price, he accepted. I called him personally over the phone to work out details. It was Monday. I asked if the guitar was in good shape. He said everything is perfect except for a lil nick on the backside from a belt buckle. We agreed on cross shipping. He said most likely he will ship same night or following day. I ran to post office to make sure my MO was on the way. Tuesday came. He could not get it out Monday, so he tells me Tuesday. Wednesday came and he tells me DIDNT mail out Tuesday. But he would include some guitar software to make up. He says he shipped the guitar Wednsday. He gave me a track number. Tracking number doesnt show up. He tells me may take a bit. Well.. tracking number shows up Thursday night with details that payment/package received was 19:00 hours or so. He tells me dont worry, he knows a contact at fedex and guitar will be here Friday. Friday came. Guitar did in fact get here. But I wasnt too happy to see the way it was shipped. He put the guitar in a guitar nylon case (slight padding built in) and locked the zipper together with some nylon plastic ties, and shipped off. Guitar arrived in nylon bag and I opened. First thing, Guitar was Dirty Like Hell. Oil Prints everywhere, crud here and there. In back of the guitar there was around a 6 x 8 spot of some gummy/syrup type substance. Guitar had some foul/musty type odor to it that adhered to your hands. Disgusting. On top of that, I seen the tiny nick he talked about behind the guitar, but I also seen THREE other nicks which he did not tell me about. One noticeable nick on the head of the guitar. Another one on the top base outer edge of the guitar, and the third which is a noticeable chip on the front outer edge. Looks like someone took a flat head and chunked a piece off. You can see the underlyin natural wood from the blue shell the guitar has. Right around that nick, it has a half quarter size "scab". Like if the impact from the nick, shattered the immediate surrounding area. You can see the tiny barely raised outline crack. The volume knob was loose and has a static problem. The fretboard was a tad bit loose, which I tightened.

We agreed on cross-shipping. I feel like I was took for a fool. I sent my MO on Monday. He received my MO on Wednesday, then he shipped Thursday. On top of that, the guitar was received in filthy/bad odor condition with nicks other than described, bad shipping. And I did not even receive the software he claimed to put in the guitar. Speaking to other guitarists, this was NOT a way to ship a guitar. All he did was put it in a nylon case and shipped off. I took his word cause he claims he knows how to ship and has shipped guitars cause he worked at a "The Guitar Center" shop. Don't know if these other nicks where sustained from improper packing/shipping or he knew about them before hand.

I would advise to think on dealing with any major item with good_sense.
